fter serving for seven years as the head of enrollment management at St. Joseph’s University, New York’s Brooklyn Campus, veteran college admissions leader Christine Murphy last summer became vice president for enrollment management for the entire University.

Ms. Murphy took on the new role when Gigi Lamens, vice president for enrollment management at the Long Island Campus, retired.

With more than 20 years of experience in undergraduate and graduate recruitment in local, national and international markets, Murphy utilizes data to drive decisions and develop strategic plans; implements new technology to enhance and streamline the enrollment process; and designs enrollment events for prospective students.

In her new position, she oversees five offices and about 60 employees across the Brooklyn and Long Island campuses and satellite offices in Great River.

“During my time at St. Joseph’s and before, I have been committed to professional development for myself and my staff. I also look forward to fostering and supporting development opportunities for the areas that have recently been added to my portfolio,” she said.

“I look forward to working closely with this talented leadership team to enhance collaboration and combine resources and strategies to enhance the experience for students and support the enrollment and retention goals of the University,” Ms. Murphy added.

Ms. Murphy additionally serves as the national admission practices committee chair for the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) and as vice president of finance-elect for the New York State Association for Admissions Counseling (NYSACAC).
